The Braun MultiQuick 9 is an immersion blender with a pressure-sensitive button for adjusting the speed, like the Braun MultiQuick 7. If I want to purchase the mq9087(x) or mq9087 which comes without the grinder and want to purchase the grinder separately they say that the grinder sold separately suits just the mq5 or mq7 series. As well as spinning at speed, the innovative blades also move up and down, doing the hard work for you by significantly reducing the effort of blending hard foods, like whole spices, nuts and raw carrot, and the unique design provides you with 250% more cutting surface, so achieving super-fine results is quick and easy. The MultiQuick 9 has a slightly different design to help bring the blades closer to the ingredients you're blending, which allows it to crush ice. They first said no, only and that it only worked in the US with the MQ 5 and MQ 7, then literally a few minutes later corrected that to say it is now available separately, and is compatible with the 5, 7 and 9 series – that makes sense really since the U.

We would have appreciated a storage bag to keep everything safe and prevent any attachments from getting lost. The controls on the Braun MultiQuick 9 Hand Blender MQ9199XL are continuous, with a trigger that blends faster the harder you press down on the variable paddle. However, we then had a eureka moment and asked if this new, better ACTIVEblade technology would mean that we didn’t need the extra jug if the MQ 9 series blender leg would tackle the tougher job of blending ice anyway ! Accessory-wise there’s a fantastic selection of food processor blades for fine and thick slices, as well as for grating and julienning. The blending arm is made of stainless steel, and the blades are designed so you can move them closer to what you're blending. It´s more than a hand blender, it´s more than the 3 in 1 hand blender sets out there… it’s an all in one kitchen appliance. At its core, it’s a fantastic blender too: quick, powerful and it makes light work of tough ingredients. German design is known for quality and utility, and the Braun MultiQuick 9 Hand Blender MQ9199XL is a classic example of this.

Instead of a speed dial, it has a trigger-like button that increases the speed when you push harder. If we thought Dualit had thought of everything with their brilliant hand blender, then the Braun multiquick 9 set up is next level.

The Braun cup was one of the flimsier ones we tested, a surprising contrast to its sturdy handle and attachments. Even when using the food pusher, the blades sometimes didn’t catch all of the ingredients, meaning bits of unprocessed food were left behind on top of the blade disc. Some stirring is required to get rid of these shapes, but we did enjoy the relatively lump-free consistency of our mash. On the other hand, the KitchenAid comes more attachments, including an 's-blade' for ice crushing and a food processing bowl with its own blade assembly. Most parts are dishwasher safe, with the exception of the handle and gearbox lids, which are wipe-clean only.

The SPLASHControl feature helps prevents splatters, making messy worktops a thing of the past, and an extra milling blade allows for finer blending with no unwanted large pieces left behind. It starts soft, then you just intuitively push for more power and speeds on tougher food, or if you want finer results. Not sure what you mean by the last comment about the Breville, and also re the videos for the dicing blade. This blender has a more powerful motor than the Braun MultiQuick 5 and Braun MultiQuick 7 and takes less blending time to produce the best results. However Bamix is a little more commercial – a bit of a chef´s tool, in that you have to pull the blades off and that can take come pulling sometimes. Grind coffee beans to fresh perfection or add a little more zest to your next meal with your own homemade spice mixtures using things like peppercorns, cinnamon sticks or dried chillies. The multipurpose handle, which houses the motor and speed control buttons, is a mixture of stainless steel, plastic and a non-slip rubber material for better grip, and there’s a detachable blending shaft made from 100% brushed stainless steel. This moves the blades closer to the ingredients and lets them reach the ice cubes, unlike the Braun MultiQuick 5 or Braun MultiQuick 7.
