Not sure what exactly I've got here--I'm pretty sure it's not a boot (haven't heard tell of or seen boots of this one, and the packaging is beautiful, way higher quality than any boot I've ever seen), so is it a brand new repress or something else? Coxon left the band during early recording sessions for Think Tank, and Blur disbanded for several years after the end of the album's associated tour, with the members engaged in other projects. Due to inventory and accounting purposes, we do not exchange items received for different items than originally purchased. On the way back from his tour of Australia in December, Albarn stopped in Hong Kong once more for lyrical inspiration.

Like Albarn's recent solo work, it explores the distant traveler's conflicting sense of wonder and alienation. With a few exceptions - the playful Ong Ong, the 1994 time warp Lonesome Street - the album is a moody affair, capturing the bristling tension of later Blur albums. The record came sealed and appears to be the above version in every conceivable way (even has the obi), but has no poster or download card.It wasn’t until Graham Coxon reprised these sessions and presented them to long-time producer Stephen Street, who went on to develop them with the guitarist, that they realised they might have material worthy of a new album. The package itself is something else too, there’s an Asian influence, possibly as recordings were made in Hong Kong, the sleeve is beautiful and even has an Obi strip like vinyl from Japan. Their eighth album, The Magic Whip (2015), was the sixth consecutive Blur studio album to top the British chart. Records that aren't in picture sleeves will either be in a company sleeve or a generic plain sleeve. Alternative rock groups wish their 'creative' side, which usually leaves the listener a little weirded out, sounded as good as Blur just being, well. Their seventh album, Think Tank (2003), continued their experimentation with electronic sounds and was also shaped by Albarn's growing interest in hip hop and world music, featuring more minimal guitar work. It's an alternative rock band's album alright, but no particular sound is overpowering another; Damon's voice so perfectly compliments the instruments, as the instruments dance with his voice. Please note, The Vinyl Whistle accepts no responsibility for any package which is damaged, lost or stolen during transit.
